Kokka fabrics are all designed and manufactured in Japan. Known for their whimsical children's patterns, their designers also create brilliant contemporary designs as well as luscious oriental designs.
Scans are 8" unless otherwise noted, ½ yd minimum cuts

Stunning Hand Sketched Drawing, Cream on pale turquoise 100% linen by artist Naomi Ito. We've scanned three different views of this marvelous fabric. The patterning reverses on each side of the center fold. The fabric would make an amazing simple summer skirt. 8"x 11" scans, $33.75 per yard

A charming juvenile print by Hiroyuki Aihara of happy little teddys having a picnic. A little heavier than quilting cotton, it would sew up as the cutest little jacket or pants for either boy or girl! $14.75 per yard

Pattern Suggestion!

The Little Vintage Jumper, $10.00, is sized from 1 to 12, and is just adorable!
For sizes 1 - 3 you need ½ yd fabric for the skirt, ½ yd for the bodice, and ¼ yd for the pocket and an optional ruffle.
Sizes 4 - 5/6 require 3/4yd fabric for the skirt, ½ yd for the bodice, and another ¼ yd for the pocket and optional ruffle.

Town - ok the name is cryptic, but the fabric delightful with little chef chicks and teddy bears and pots and plates of different foods on a soft blue background. We especially like the zany translations from Japanese - worth the price of admission! $14.95 per yard, mid-weight cotton

Pattern Suggestion!

Favorite Things "Little Hooded Jacket" is another versatile sizes 1-12 pattern. Any combination of the last four juvenile Kokka fabrics for these jackets would be darling. You have the option of making the jacket with a light weight flannel interlining for extra warmth, but you can leave it out for warmer weather.
Fabric requirements for sizes 1-4 are: 1 1/3 yd for the exterior jacket, 1 ½ yd for the lining and lower jacket panels, and 1/8th yd for the flat piping. If you want it interlined, add 1 ½ yd cotton flannel. Pattern price is $10.00.
