Yellow Bird Art 2008 Quilt Retreats
Join us for a fun weekend with one of our upcoming quilting/sewing/crafting/whatever-you-want-to-do retreats:

July 18-20 (take the Iris class on July 19!)
September 19-21 (full, waitlist only)
October 10-12 Sue Spargo Retreat (full, waitlist only)
November 7-9

Retreats run from 2pm Friday – 3pm Sunday and include Saturday breakfast & lunch and Sunday brunch. Our retreats are held at McGarrity's Inn, conveniently located directly above the quilt shop. The Inn features 4 luxurious smoke free suites, each with a kitchenette and private bath. A large shared area will be set up with work tables, cutting table, outlets galore, ironing board & iron. While the Inn has space to sleep up to 14 people, we've chosen to limit our retreats to 12 to ensure there's enough space to spread out. However, we do require a minimum of 6 participants. Cost is $155/person (requires double or triple occupancy in each suite. However, if you prefer privacy, a single room is available for $232.50 (subject to availability)). We require a downpayment of $55 upon registration with the remainder due upon arrival. No refunds will be given for cancellations. Should there be hazardous travel weather on a scheduled retreat weekend, we will work with all retreat participants to reschedule the retreat.

· Dinner on your own
· Friday night lodging

Saturday:

· Demo, class or workshop at Yellow Bird, or work on your own projects
· Dinner on your own
· Saturday night lodging

Sunday:
· 10:30 Brunch

Sue Spargo Workshop
Saturday & Sunday, October 11 & 12, 9am-4pm
We are so excited about Sue’s next visit to Yellow Bird Art- we’re Sue junkies through and through!  Sue is a nationally known, wonderfully imaginative and creative quilt designer.  Most of her designs utilize wool appliqué techniques, which if you’re not familiar with, is something you need to experience- because the wool is pre-felted, there aren’t any pesky edges needing to be turned under.  We’re currently working on the details with Sue and will post more information as soon as we have it!  The workshop will be held at the Community Center in Lansing, located at 395 Main Street. There is a $25.00 non-refundable deposit required for the workshop. 
Workshop Fee: $100.  Kits will be available.
